The locations database supplied with Visual Passage Planner 2 (VPP2) contains the contents of the World Port Index, which is published by the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA).  It contains data on over 4600 ports around the world.

Some of the fields included for each port include (there are over 60 fields!):

• Name
• Country
• Location Type
• Lat/Lon
• Publication/Chart
• Harbor Size/Type
• Shelter Afforded
• Overhead Limits
• Channel Depth
• Tide
• Good Holding Ground
• And many, many more....

The database is easily sorted and grouped by any criteria you choose, and detailed information can be easily edited (see center screen shot).

Of course, the entire database can be overlaid on the map with customizable icons, colors, fonts and sizes (see bottom screen shot).
